Loved getting to know someone new to me on Substack. My dad was a proud polymath so the term always draws me in. And such a great interview.

Nice work! I'm following along. I like the visible chronology.

Also, I like spicy chocolate a lot!

Same! Very much same. The first chocolate awards I ever judged were the Spicy Chocolate Awards, go figure :)

I love the word "polymath," but find it a very strange and confusing word because it doesn't really have anything to do with math...

This page dives deeper into its roots, which also clarifies the word "math" itself: https://www.etymonline.com/word/polymath. It comes from the Greek polymathes.

What's really funny is that I haven't even dug that deep into the word!! Now I'm chagrined but enlightened and I see the threads of a new essay bubbling forth!

Chili in chocolate, now I am curious of the taste! After reading this post, now I wonder what other combinations to eat chocolate with? I'm thinking of thyme, or rosemary with chocolate. Now, I will search on the internet on people's experiment with chocolate. I am enjoying the posts so far, and its only the 3rd one. Adding Mirzam’s dark chocolate with Kashmiri chilli to my voyage list. :)

The Kashmiri Chilli is one of my personal favorites. Nothing like a hint of spice in your chocolate! I've judged an entire set of spicy chocolates for a competition some years ago in fact. Have not seen (tasted) rosemary or thyme as an inclusion... if done right, could certainly be interesting! Glad you're enjoying the Tour :)
