LOL. Well, okay...Ghirardelli is good, but so is Nestle. I bought an off-brand once to make fudge and it wouldn't melt! I ended up with a watery, gritty mess that wasn't even close to chocolate. So now I stick to the tried and true.
I'm loving this tour, Brigitte! Such a fun idea to pair a writer with chocolate each day. And, it's always a thrill to see one of my chocolate students' work enjoyed and highlighted: Fjak is a true gift to the craft chocolate world!
I've wanted that more than anything—for people to enjoy the tour. So many have written in to say how much they're loving it. And how amazingly close knit the chocolate world is! Now I must know, did you have a hand in this drinking chocolate??
"This established a sentiment baseline for me for the kind of community Substack is. It has been consistently reinforced by the numerous other writers I’ve met and connected with here..."
Same! What a pleasant surprise, after watching the sharp decline of dialogue on social media, to have not only meaningful conversations, but legitimate HELPFUL connections here has been a real differentiator.
Now I think I need to get some chili drinking chocolate... got those affiliate links ready yet? :)
Fjåk is actually the noise I make when I realise I’m out of chocolate
I think this line is the crowning comment of this entire Tour. Unless someone dethrones you, which I see difficult...
As long as I have a bag of chocolate chips I’m never out of chocolate.
Have any favorites Ramona? Wonder if I should do a review of chips :)
Oh, honey, I’m not going there! 🤭
Tee hee it's already on my list for 2024 😎

No~~the Fjåk crew took my course on how to craft plant-based white chocolate 🤎
Amazing. I'd love to do a story about that if you're open... let's chat after the Tour
Just want to call attention to this for a sec:

Yes!! Stand by...
Ah, chocolate fondue....
And the cheese, and the cheese... just need a nice bottle of red to round it out
Only if it sheep or goat cheese!
A man of my own heart. Couldn't agree more. Although, real Italian parmigiano has a special place in my soul...
